Each splash guard is manufactured from heavy-duty, 1/2-inch-thick compression-molded rubber. The material is substantial enough to provide meaningful coverage behind the tire while remaining flexible enough to deflect when it contacts rocks or obstacles on the trail.

Instead of transferring the full impact into a rigid plastic guard or mounting point, the rubber can flex and return to position, making it better suited for vehicles that regularly transition between pavement and technical terrain.

Serious Coverage for Larger Tires

Oversized and wider tires can project significantly more debris beyond the factory wheel opening. AEV Splash Guards provide additional coverage behind the tire to help reduce the amount of mud, stones, gravel, snow and road debris thrown toward the truck body, trailers or surrounding vehicles.

The brackets are zinc coated and e-coated for additional corrosion resistance, creating a durable mounting structure designed for long-term exposure to dirt, water, road salt and trail conditions.

The combination of substantial rubber guards and steel mounting hardware gives the system considerably more structure than a lightweight accessory-style mud flap.

Designed Around the Silverado ZR2

These kits are engineered specifically around the proportions, tire-clearance requirements and design language of the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 platform, including the ZR2 Bison.
